Timber Creek Floral

Prom 2024

I started working for Timber Creek Floral and gifts in the spring of 2022 and later took on the roll of social media manager. I created content and graphics for major events and holidays throughout the year. Prom is an important event for this small business. Here are some sample social media posts from Prom 2024.

Appeal to local market

Part of the stores marketing strategy is to Remind buyers that supporting local stores is important and there are added benefits to shopping local.

  • Saves time
  • Competitive pricing
  • Support local economy

Chain stores are an hour away and usually cost as much if not more with less quality products. Purchasing from local stores put the local tax dollars to work in the community.

Tell them what they’re getting

“How much does it cost to rent a tux?”

The most often asked question is how much and what is included. Let them know up front and make it easy on staff to have a packaged deal. Customers can make an informed decision just by the information in the image.

When to order

“When should I order?”

The second most common question. With several small towns in the area there are multiple prom dates. Also, making it critical to get orders in on time. The longer someone waits the smaller the selection becomes. This image shows the last date to order without adding extra shipping costs for each town.

Private Group Events Page

Starting a new bible study and trying to plan events around everyone’s schedule is a job sometimes. I created a Facebook page for a group at First Baptist Church in Winfield, Kansas. Here are some of the graphics I designed for the church and the page to get attention. This group did monthly craft classes or coffee meet ups and a bi-weekly book study. To keep a group like this active it’s important to keep everyone informed.

Posts and email/text images

This church did not have a great platform for digital communications. The bulletin was still printed and the newsletter mailed out. I gathered an email list for this group and sent out an email for updates as well as using. social media

Church Events

Flyers and newspaper ads

The church needed help with their logo and occasionally flyers created for events. I reimaged their logo and created graphic posters when needed. This one was also used by the newspaper for an ad to the event.

Group Branding

Cover image and bookmark

I created the cover image for this Facebook group to appeal to all ages of women. I used part of this same image to create bookmarks for the ladies to hand out to friends, coworkers, even someone in the grocery line. This gave an easy way to reach out and invite others to join the group and learn about what God was doing in their lives.
